Our specialized foreign teachers provide education in English for children between the ages of 2 to 5. There are at least two teachers in each of our classrooms. Our teachers who speak English in our classrooms are accompanied by our teachers whose mother tongue is Turkish. Our teachers, whose mother tongue is Turkish, communicate with our students in Turkish so that our students can adapt to school comfortably during the adaptation period. At the end of the adaptation period, they adapt to the foreign language spoken in the classroom, just like our foreign language speaking teachers.
Our education programs are prepared based on the aims and objectives of the Ministry of National Education and the British curriculum. The themes to be covered throughout the year are determined by age groups. Even if some themes are the same among age groups, our in-class programs are created by considering the developmental stages of our students.
Age Groups
In Özel Süper Çocuk Anaokulu, English classes for age of 2 are divided into two as classes for children born in first 6 months (January - June) and children born in second 6 months (July - December). Starting from age 3, our students born in the same year (January-December) are in the same class.For age of 2, the capacity is 10-12 students and for age of 3 and 4, the capacity is 12-15 students.
Groups for age of 2; the objective is to ensure that children can comply with social rules, relax emotionally, gain their self-confidence in a healthy way and learn self-care skills. We try to teach some skills, information, attitudes and habits through our education programs in order to develop personalities of children with a healthy physical condition.
Groups for age of 3; in addition to education objectives for age of 2, new education programs are applied which will help children gain the habit of systematic thinking and which will prepare them for education of higher age groups.
Groups for age of 4; education for this group covers, in general, issues, concepts and skills that a child needs to acquire throughout the year. The principle here is to learn by travelling and seeing. Another purpose of the program is to improve primary school preparation levels of children. Computer exercises that were started for the group of 3 years old is an integral part of education for this group as well. The goal here is both to reinforce the program and improve computer skills at early ages.
Half-time morning group: 09:00 – 13:00
Full-time group: 09:00 – 16:00
Every year, the first month of the program is considered as the period of adaptation for children. The intensity of the program increases as of 1st of October. Education programs are completed at the end of June. We have half-term break of two weeks depending on the semester program of primary schools. Also our school is closed on official holidays and days when primary schools are closed.
Our drivers pick up children at their home on pre-determined hours and drop them off to their parents or any pre-specified person accompanied by a hostess.
